Your current registrar is no longer working for you. Support may take too long to reply.
Maybe the renewal fee went up without warning, or you want your domain, hosting, and email managed in one place.
Whatever brought you here, moving your .ph domain to Truehost takes less time than you think.
Here is exactly how to transfer your .ph domain to Truehost.
Before You Start: 4 Things to Check
A transfer fails when the domain is not ready. Confirm all of these before you begin:
- Your domain is at least 60 days old. This is an ICANN rule. Recently registered or transferred domains cannot move yet.
- Your domain has not expired. If it has, renew it at your current registrar first, then come back.
- You have access to your registrar account. You will need to log in to unlock the domain and get the auth code.
- Your admin email is active. A confirmation will be sent there. Make sure you can receive it.
Who is your current registrar?
Do a quick WHOIS lookup at who. is and search for your domain name. The registrar field will show you exactly where it is managed.
Step 1: Unlock Your Domain
Domains are locked by default to stop unauthorized transfers. You need to turn that off before anything can move.
Log in to your current registrar’s dashboard. Find your domain and look for a setting called Domain Lock or Registrar Lock. Turn it off and save the change.
If you cannot find it, the registrar’s support team can quickly point you to the right place.
Step 2: Get Your EPP/Auth Code
The EPP code is a short string of letters and numbers.
Think of it as a one-time password for your domain transfer. Without it, the transfer cannot go through.
Go to your domain settings and look for Get EPP Code, Transfer Code, or Authorization Code.
Some registrars show it on screen right away. Others send it to your registered email.
Copy it and keep it somewhere safe. You will need it in the next step.
Step 3: Start the Transfer on Truehost
Go to truehost.ph/domains/transfer and follow these steps:
- Enter your domain name
- Paste your EPP/Auth code
- Log in to your Truehost account, or create one if you do not have one yet, it only takes a minute
- Select any add-ons you need, such as WHOIS privacy or email forwarding
- Complete payment in Philippine Pesos
All fees are in PHP. There are no foreign exchange fees or surprise charges at checkout.
Step 4: Approve the Transfer
After checkout, a confirmation email goes to your domain’s admin address.
Open it and click the approval link.
Your current registrar may also send a separate confirmation request. Approve that one too if it arrives.
Once you approve, the transfer officially starts. From here, you wait.
Step 5: Wait for It to Complete
- .ph domains: usually done within a few hours to 1 business day
- .com, .net, .org: can take up to 5 to 7 days
Your website and email stay live throughout the entire process.
Visitors landing on your site will not notice a thing. This is because there is no offline period during a domain transfer.
When the transfer completes, Truehost automatically adds one free year to your domain registration.
You do not need to do anything extra for that.
After the Transfer: 3 Quick Checks
Once the transfer is done, log in to your Truehost dashboard and confirm:
- Your domain appears in your account
- Nameservers and DNS records look correct. Some may reset during transfer, so update them if needed
- Your website and email are working normally
If anything looks off, Truehost support is available 24/7 and responds fast.
Why Move to Truehost?
If you are already switching registrars, it helps to know what you are switching to:
- All fees are in Philippine Pesos, no foreign exchange rates eating into your budget
- 24/7 local support from a team that knows the Philippine market
- One dashboard for your domain, hosting, SSL, and email. There is no juggling multiple providers
Transfer Costs (in PHP)
| Domain | Transfer Fee | What It Includes |
| .com | ₱500 – ₱800 | +1 year renewal |
| .ph | ₱2000 – ₱3000 | +1 year renewal |
| .net.ph / .com.ph | ₱2000 – ₱3000 | +1 year renewal |
Common Transfer Problems (and Fixes)
Transfer keeps failing?
Check that the domain is unlocked and the EPP code is correct. Request a fresh code from your registrar if the first one expired.
Cannot find the approval email?
Check your spam folder. If the admin email on your WHOIS record is outdated, update it with your current registrar first, then restart the transfer.
Domain registered too recently?
Wait until it is at least 60 days old. This rule applies to all domain extensions, not just .ph.
Has the domain expired?
Renew it at your current registrar first. Once it is active again, come back and start the transfer.
Transfer stuck for several days?
For .ph domains, .PH is the official registry that oversees domain name registration. If things seem stalled beyond the expected timeline, reach out to Truehost support, and they will follow up on your behalf.
